About the event
Each year, May 22 marks the anniversary of the day in 2010 when Laszlo Hanyecz paid 10,000 BTC for two pizzas in the first Bitcoin transaction. The day has become legendary, first because it was the first commercial use of bitcoins, but more so because of Bitcoin's worth in the following years.
The event is being held at the historic Guildhall, a medieval Grade 1 listed building situated in the heart of Bury St Edmunds. The building is one of the oldest civil buildings in the country, with records going back as far as the 1100's. Find out more here.

Entry to the event All inclusive bar with a range of alcoholic drinks, zero alcohol beers and soft drinks served in the enclosed grounds (weather permitting!) Complimentary artisan pizza from our on-site Pizza truck Access to the Vendor Market in the Ballroom with the opportunity to support Bitcoiners selling a variety of products A variety of panel discussions in the historic, iconic court room focusing on Bitcoin as a medium of exchange (with counter views from the store of value only crew!).
